The Counter is owned by husband and wife team, Don and Diane Pfeil. The duo believes happiness is family, eating good food, and drinking good coffee and The Counter is where you can find this.

In New York, Don and Diane gained vast experience owning their first establishment, Lynch’s Restaurant. The restaurant operated successfully for almost twenty-three years until D&D decided to move their family to North Carolina.

Throughout the Pfeil’s almost twenty years in Mooresville, they have always felt there was a void in the food scene. The couple decided to get back to their restaurant roots, to fill that void, with a local ‘mom and pop’ eatery, which the towns craves.
